josephdickinsonukParticipantHey – how do I remove the text on the this feature on the site? I want to add the text myself on the pictures? I therefore do not want this feature to display the category text

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Please add this code to the Theme Settings > Custom CSS > Global:
.category-grid-item .hover-mask { display: none; }
Best Regards.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Please delete the old given CSS and try to use the below custom CSS code:
.category-grid-item .hover-mask { display: none !important; }
Best Regards.
February 26, 2024 at 2:00 pm #543857
josephdickinsonukParticipantIt did not work. It chnaged the size of the main image too
Plase can you play around with it to get it to work? I have removed the old CSS
February 26, 2024 at 2:05 pm #543860
josephdickinsonukParticipantIn fact, I can’t seem to revert it back. It used to be the same style as the demo like this https://prnt.sc/OwnZt25jTAS8

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
I have added the following code in Appearance > customize > Additional CSS and the title is not showing.
.category-grid-item .hover-mask { display: none !important; }
Check back your site and check the issue.
Best Regards

josephdickinsonukParticipantThanks. Yes, it has worked in terms of removing the text, so thanks. However why is the main banner image on mobile now small?
It’s like this
https://prnt.sc/3jGe29GUl_zVIt should be like this style

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Navigate to Pages > Edit Home page with Elementor > Edit categories widget and in the style tab select the layout “Masonry with first wide”.

February 27, 2024 at 12:31 pm #544203
josephdickinsonukParticipantI have tried that, and it has worked o mobile, but not desktop. The desktop image ‘personalised’ is now really small and not the correct format
It looks like this https://prnt.sc/b1ABNf59muCw
I want it to look like the demo in terms of size for ref: https://screenrec.com/share/OzVbXvkcsp

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
I have made this section on your site look like a demo. Check back your site and check the issue.
Best Regards.
February 27, 2024 at 3:48 pm #544330
josephdickinsonukParticipantThanks, but it’s very different. It’s dark and the wrong order. Can that be updated to be like my version, except keep the formatting of the one you have added, then it will be fine?
February 27, 2024 at 4:16 pm #544346
Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Please edit this as per your requirements in the elementor page builder.
Best Regards.
February 28, 2024 at 12:50 am #544468
josephdickinsonukParticipantOkay thanks, I understand . I am about confused about why it’s so dark.
How do I change the colour on the desktop site back to my original lighter colour?
For example, the one you have added is darker, but it’s fine on mobile.
Please feel free to compare it to my old one for colour reference.
Cheers!

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Edit Products Categories widget and in the style tab, Choose the categories design “default”.
Best Regards.
February 28, 2024 at 12:05 pm #544607
josephdickinsonukParticipantIt’s already set to default. And it’s not the correct colour or order on mobile?
Please may you take a look
February 28, 2024 at 4:08 pm #544724
Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Now the design is set to default and the dark mode is not showing. Try to change the order in the content tab of the category widget.
If you want to change the order on only mobile, try to separate the section for desktop and mobile. Go to the page where you want to create separate sections.
* Add a Section: Click on the “+” icon to add a new section.
* Design your section as you want it to appear on the mobile.
* Elementor offers responsive options in the settings for each element. You can hide the second section on the desktop.Best Regards.

josephdickinsonukParticipantThanks, that has just about got it back to how it should be. I appreciate the help.
The last part is there is a white gap between my menu and the category element. How would I remove this?
February 29, 2024 at 10:49 am #544966
Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
You need to set the margin and padding. You can find the option in the advanced tab of the elementor:

February 29, 2024 at 11:36 am #544986
josephdickinsonukParticipantThanks. Your guidance is referring to elementor while your link is referring to the WordPress editor which one is it?
Where is the advanced tab sorry, can you share a gif?
