I want image that i will use in the variation to show in the color swatches instead of the color plate. but in the suggestion you have given, i have to give the image in attribute> color> image preview, then this same color can no longer be used as variation in other products. because those products will not have the same image.

Make sure you have enabled the option in the Theme Settings > Shop > Swatches and Attributes.
