search is not working

we are using fibosearch plugin , when we enter any text in search bar and click on enter buttton, it is redirecting to home page. when i contacted to fibosearch team, they have checked from all angle and thay came to below conclusions in the below screenshots :

It looks like you did some customization in the parent theme. Could you please reinstall the theme completely to restore all original files?

before we do reinstall the theme again, we want to take backup of the theme . we took the backup of theme files in this folder : /opt/bitnami/wordpress/wp-content/themes , is there anywhere else we need to take backup ?

what about child theme ? do we need to install child theme also ?

will it affect database also ?

is all the database changes will be lost ?
