    Very Urgent:
    Hello Luke,

I just now received an email stating – “Your Site is Experiencing a Technical Issue

WordPress has a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:

    WordPress version 6.2.2
Active theme: Woodmart Child (version 1.0.0)
    Current plugin: WooCommerce (version 7.1.1)
    PHP version 7.4.33

Please do Not ask to update Woodmart Theme until explicitly required. Because we need to test first on staging site. We cannot update it directly on Live site. As you already know, it broke many a times during update and we had multiple issues everytime with almost every update.
And if updating just Woocommerce alone can solve the issue, then please suggest. But in this case, please also, suggest shall we update Woocommerce and will it be compatible with existing current version of Woodmart theme, or viceversa.

However, whether updating is required or not, in either case, can you please look into the errors and suggest, as what might be causing the issue and how can we fix it.

You can have the credentials from previous tickets. Still posting here.

    Regards

Hi, I got the same message on three websites. Please check what could be the reason for these messages and how to fix it. Thank you.

    Hello,

We advise updating to the latest version as there is a vulnerability in the Core plugin that has been fixed in the recent theme update 7.1.4 and core update 1.0.39.

    Let me know the results.

    Kind Regards

    Hello Luke,

    Please suggest further-
    1. After updating the Theme, shall we have to update the Woocommerce also to the latest version.
Current version of Woo is 7.1.1
Or is it that, with Woo 7.1.1 updating of theme is not required.

    2. In the meantime, we asked Hosting also, and they revert or downgrade the PHP version from 7.4.33 to 7.3.33, to avoid this error. Not sure whether this will fix the issue or not.

So wanted to know after updating the Theme, shall we keep the PHP version to 7.3.33 or update to 7.4.X or even newer to this one that is 8.x or 8.1x

In either case, can you please look into the errors and suggest, as what might be causing the issue suddenly.

    Please suggest

    Regards

    Hello Luke,

    2. a). In addition to my above message-
Hosting team tried to upgrade to latest version of PHP from 7.4 to 8.x then more errors started showing up, as can be seen from below and as replicated from their end – https://armada.support/u5Ra7LCTbz

So please suggest after updating the Theme shall we need to update the PHP version or keep it with the current one, either 7.3x or 7.4x

Hello, I managed to clean one of the websites from a malicious malware ( WP Balada Injector).
It was the same case that is described in this blog:
    Blog

After deleting the files and updating them, I installed a new version of Wordpres. Before the update, I made copies of websites and copies of the database.
    I do hope this helps.

    Hello,

    1. We recommend that you always install new versions of your theme and plugins.

    2. Have you updated the theme to the latest version? If so, create a new test site with PHP 8.x version, which will have errors and please provide FTP.

    Kind Regards

    Hello Luke,

    2. Have you updated the theme to the latest version?

    Not so far.
Would like to update but before that wanted to know just one thing. Once we update and if other issues started appearing (just like with previous updates, and as we mentioned earlier), is there a way to roll back to previous version of the Theme and Core plugin.
I think that was asked by many users earlier also. I think that was in pipeline also to bring such feature. I am not sure whether that has been brought or not.
Also, if such feature has not been added so far, what other way we can roll back to previous version of theme (other than backing up All files or whole site).

PS: Until then, we are in touch with the hosting support, we will try to Clone the Live site first on the staging site and then try to update the theme on that staging site first.
Or else, as per your suggestion we shall update the Theme directly on Live site first, to get rid of that error.

    Please suggest

    Regards

    Hello,

    1. Unfortunately, there is no way to do that.

    2. Update the theme and plugin to the latest versions on the test site and install PHP 8.x and observe whether errors appear or not, if errors appear then give access to that test site and FTP.

    Kind Regards
