dtp-liesenfeld.deParticipantHallo,

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
If you want to edit the search result page with Elementor you need to create a custom layout for this.
Dashboard > Layouts > Add new and create layout for search result page.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Please deactivate all the 3rd party plugins and activate only theme-required plugins on the site, and then check the issue. I am sure your issue will be solved. Then activate the 3rd party plugins one by one and check which plugin is creating the issue for you.
Otherwise, if the issue still exists, then keep the 3rd party plugins deactivated and let me know I will check and give you a possible solution.

dtp-liesenfeld.deParticipantHallo,
Also was soll das mit “Alle plug ins deaktivieren…”?
August 7, 2025 at 9:57 am #678419
Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
I completely understand your frustration. In your specific case, the issue appears to be related to pagination — on the first click, the widgets don’t load correctly, but after refreshing the page, they appear as expected.
https://postimg.cc/zbwNGyznFor testing this issue, please try to create a Staging platform where you can test issues, enable/disable features/plugins, thus such changes will affect the main site. Also, share the wp login details of the staging site so I can further check on your site and give you a possible solution.
The article below will help you to create it:

dtp-liesenfeld.deParticipantHallo das ist für mich kein Problem. Habe euch alles bereitgestellt.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
For the search results page to display the widgets correctly, you’ll need to assign a WooCommerce shop sidebar to your shop page.
You’ll need to add a WooCommerce shop sidebar to your shop page. Once the shop page has its own sidebar, the search results page will also work properly with the widgets.
Right now, you’re using the Home sidebar created with Elementor, but product archives (like shop and search results) are WooCommerce pages, so they display widgets from WooCommerce sidebars. Setting the sidebar there will make it work as expected.
Now, on your testing site, I have added the sidebar in the shop page and disabled the custom layout for the search results pag,e and it is working fine now, but if you want to edit the search result page with Elementor, you need to add the product archive widget in the layout.
Please check back your site and check the issue. If you have any questions feel free to contact us.

dtp-liesenfeld.deParticipantHello XTemos Support,
Thank you for your efforts and suggested solutions.
That was my original first thought, too. That’s why I built the entire website with the Woodmart sidebar. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the individual product view. The bar wasn’t working there. It wasn’t displayed at first. When I built the individual product page in Elementor, the sidebar was diagonally offset. I then contacted Elementor Support. They told me to build the pages with an integrated sidebar. Now you come along and tell me the opposite. That’s a bit problematic for me. The individual category pages are also a problem. I have to resort to Elementor Pro for this.
The way you’ve changed it for me at the moment is a solution. But unfortunately, it’s not a clean solution, because when the search results page or the shop page loads, the sidebar is displayed in a different position. That’s not very nice.
I’m also experiencing the problem that the header graphic is sometimes not displayed when I access some pages via the category menu. That’s very strange.
Do you have another possible solution? That would be great.
I don’t know how you reconnected the search results page to the sidebar. Could you please explain that to me again?
But I would prefer a clean solution. I would like a consistent look and feel. I hope you understand.
Best regards,

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
I didn’t add a separate filters sidebar directly to the search results page. What I did was assign the WooCommerce shop sidebar to the Shop page through:
Theme Settings > Product Archive > Sidebar — set the sidebar position there.
Then, in Pages > Edit Shop Page, I selected the specific sidebar in the page settings at the bottom.
With this setup, WooCommerce automatically uses the same sidebar for both the Shop page and the search results page, so the widgets display consistently without needing extra configuration.
If you prefer to design the search results page with Elementor, you’ll need to create a custom layout and include the Product Archive widget — but keep in mind that this will bypass the default WooCommerce sidebar setup.
When configured this way, the same sidebar will appear consistently on both the Shop page and the search results page, ensuring a uniform look and feel.
This approach avoids having to separately configure the search results page and keeps the design clean and consistent.

dtp-liesenfeld.deParticipantHello Xtemos Support, thank you for your patience. I think I understand and have been able to replicate it on the current website. I would prefer this approach as well.
However, I still have a problem with the single product page. If I choose the WooCommerce standard here as well, I can’t set up a sidebar. Is this not possible, or have I overlooked a setting? Or do I have to revert to the sidebar on the page?

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Navigate to Theme Settings > Single Product > Single product sidebar > Select Sidebar alignment for single product pages.
Then, You can add widgets from Appearance > Widgets > add the widgets in the Single product page widget area.
Follow this Guide: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/widgets-and-sidebars/

dtp-liesenfeld.deParticipantHello Aizaz Imtiaz Awan.
Thank you so much. I’m getting better and better at using the theme now. I’ve just found the relevant setting for individual products. Unfortunately, I can’t assign anything there. Could you please take another look. I can’t assign a widget in either the Woodmart template or the Elementor template.
I’m also having the same problem with the individual category pages created in Elementor. Unfortunately, I can’t assign a sidebar here either.
Could you please help me again?

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
To add widgets in the single product sidebar, You can add widgets from Appearance > Widgets > add the widgets in the Single Product page widget area, then it will show on the single product sidebar.
If you have any problem displaying the sidebar, please share the page URL where the sidebar is not showing so I will further check on your site and give you a possible solution.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
The link you provided for the page is not working, so I couldn’t check it directly. But if you are using an Elementor Pro template for your category pages, you can try disabling that template — this will make the pages use the default theme layout, and the sidebar should appear just like on your other pages.
If you prefer to keep editing with Elementor, you can use our Woodmart custom layout option for category pages instead. In that layout, you can simply add the sidebar widget and choose a specific sidebar to display the sidebar on these pages: https://ibb.co/yctsYh1p

dtp-liesenfeld.deParticipantHello Aizaz,
That’s all well and good. But with the standard theme layout, I unfortunately can’t create individual category pages. Each individual category has its own category page.
And then there’s the question of individual product pages. I’m using a Woodmart individual product page here. But it doesn’t work with a separate sidebar either. I can’t configure it, anyway.
Could you please check again?

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Navigate to Layouts > Edit single product layout with Elementor> Edit the container where the sidebar is added and in the advanced tab , responsive settings you can see it is hidden.
https://postimg.cc/ZWVDPFSYNow I enable it. You can add widgets from Appearance > Widgets > add the widgets in the Single Product page widget area, then it will show on the single product sidebar.

dtp-liesenfeld.deParticipantSorry, Aizaz,
I’m aware of that, and we deliberately hid it. The Woodmart sidebar is supposed to be displayed. This widget within the page is a workaround, which is exactly what we wanted to avoid. Elementor support suggested this solution. But honestly, we wanted a sensible solution with Woodmart. That’s why we approached you.
Surely you should have a solution for this.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
When a custom layout is applied via Elementor, it overrides the default settings and its associated theme settings, including the default sidebar output.
In this case, to display a sidebar, you would need to add the sidebar widget area directly within your custom Elementor layout. Alternatively, if you prefer to use the default Woodmart sidebar without this workaround, you’ll need to disable the custom layout so the theme’s native single product template can handle the sidebar display as intended.

dtp-liesenfeld.deParticipantHello Aizaz,
I’m afraid you’re wrong. The single product layout is created using Woodmart. The category layouts are, of course, created using Elementor. Woodmart doesn’t offer an option for this.
So I’m not sure how else to set it up.
Can you help me with this? I don’t have the option to select a sidebar at the bottom of the layout settings on either the Woodmart single product page or the Elementor variant pages.
Best regards,

August 15, 2025 at 9:44 am #680457
Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Yes, I understand you’re using our theme’s custom layout for the single product page.
As I mentioned earlier (and shown in the screenshot here: https://postimg.cc/ZWVDPFSY), when a custom layout is active, the default sidebar is not loaded automatically.
If you want to show the sidebar in this setup, you’ll need to manually add the sidebar widget area inside your custom layout and choose the sidebar.
Otherwise, if you prefer to have the sidebar display automatically (without adding it manually), you would need to disable the custom layout so the theme’s default single product template can handle the sidebar output.
Additionally, the login link details you provided are not working anymore.
Best Regards

dtp-liesenfeld.deParticipantHello Aizaz,
Unfortunately, the screenshot doesn’t work.
If I deactivate the Woodmart custom layout, it doesn’t work either! I also don’t know where to set the sidebar.
I’m sending you a temporary access link below.Best regards,

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
The Screenshot is working fine, please check this one:
https://postimg.cc/JG0FQKYxI’ve checked, and in the custom layout you’re using, the sidebar is a different one that’s added directly inside the layout itself.
When you disable the custom layout, the theme uses the default Single Product Page Sidebar, but right now that widget area is empty. You can add content to it by going to:
Appearance > Widgets > Single Product Page widget area.
Once you add widgets there, they will appear in the sidebar when using the default single product page layout.
Best Regards

dtp-liesenfeld.deParticipantHello Aizaz,
I just noticed that the screenshot only works when I’m logged in.I was able to define the correct sidebar for the individual product. Now all that’s left is assigning it to the individual category pages. Unfortunately, I have to create these using Elementor. And there are no sidebars that can be assigned. I don’t know where I could set this up. Do you have an option for that? As I said, the sidebars are currently integrated into the layout. We don’t want that. We want all sidebars to be assigned uniformly. We would like to remove the integrated sidebar from the layout and assign a sidebar like the one for the individual product view. Is that possible?
Best regards,
HermannAugust 16, 2025 at 2:10 pm #680676
dtp-liesenfeld.deParticipantHello Aizaz,
I just noticed that the look of the single-page display isn’t great. I think we’ll leave it. Unfortunately, I’ll have to accept that I have to integrate all the sidebars into the respective layouts. And on the search results page, I’ll probably have to display a Woodmart sidebar. This isn’t very nice, since the position is obviously not in the same place. But I’m afraid that in this case, we can’t reconcile Woodmart and Elementor. Thanks again and best regards,

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
I understand what you’re trying to achieve. Currently, when you build category pages with Elementor, the sidebar defined in the theme layout won’t automatically apply, since Elementor templates override the default theme structure. That’s why you don’t see an option to assign the sidebar directly.
Sorry there is no option in theme settings to add the sidebar in the layouts pages, you need to edit the layout with elementor and add the sidebar manually.
Best Regards
