From the first day that I bought your theme, I think I did a mistake. I have uploaded both themes (parent and child) but I have been using the parent them from the beginning.

Since then, all the theme preferences I defined are registered in the parent them. And I read somewhere that it is actually prefered to use the child them.

What can I do now to use the parent theme without losing my settings, preferences, and data?

    Hello,

The problem may occur when you switch between themes in Appearance -> Themes is that widgets may lose their positions. It is a WordPress behavior and we are not able to fix this in our theme scope. You need to go to Appearance -> Widgets and move all widgets to appropriate positions.
As a workaround, you can backup your widgets configurations using this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-importer-exporter/
The same may happen with menus. So just put menus to appropriate locations in Appearance -> Menus.
