woocommerce subscription upgrade / downgrade

I have some problem with the woocommerce subscription plugin and Woodmart theme. When I upgrade / downgrade a product with variants, it does not work. upgrade / downgrade will be added as a new subscription. The solution was then to turn off AJAX Add to cart from the single product page. Is there a solution that lets me turn on AJAX Add to cart again or a workaround that lets me turn on AJAX Add to cart for regular products? and when I upgrade / downgrade, will I be sent straight to shopping cart?

Most likely, this plugin will not work with custom AJAX add to cart functions like we use in our theme. Unfortunately, we are not able to fix this and the only way to solve this is to turn AJAX off for product pages.
