    Hi Support Team

    I am Usually write PHP functions in Function.php ,
    In case of the theme updated ..Should the changes to function.php will be lost?

    Hello,

    Please install and activate the child theme and move all your PHP customization into functions.php of the child theme. In this case, you would not lose the customization. In any case, we recommend making the full backup of your site before the update.

    I am currently activated the main theme ,should i need to deactivate it to able to activate the child theme ?.

    Hello,

    As soon as you activate the child theme the parent theme would be deactivated, but do not delete it.
