Add sub categories to filter or sidebar

Hi, I have 3 product categories with multiple sub categories. When I click on a category is brings me to the shop page with all the products listed in that category. How can I add the sub categories to the “filter” button OR in a sidebar so the sub categories of that main category show up? Or is there any other way to have the sub categories show up so that customers can filter by category easier?

Each category has the option to be assigned to the parent category getting a sub-category in this case. Then you can show the sub-categories by means of the Product category widget and choose to show the hierocracy in the widget settings.

In addition, you can show the categories and sub-categories in the shop page title. You will find the option described here: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/product-category-menu/
