How to translate new custom tabs?

Hi,

I am wondering how to translate the new custom tabs with WPML. I have included the custom tabs as being translateable in the WPML settings. However, when i translate it, it does not show the translation. In addition it does not include the tab title.

Can you please fix this?

I have applied the patch 665884. However now, the tab does not show up at all on the translated product. And it is still not possible to translate the tab title.

This is a simple question which not requires admin access. Just tell me how to translate it the tab title with WPML. where?
– It is not anywhere present in the string translations
– it is not anywhere present in the admin text translations
– it is not present in the translation editor.

In order to change / translate words. Please make sure you synced the strings first before changing / translating WooCommerce, WordPress Cores file, WoodMart Core plugins and WoodMart theme. You can refer to article

Have you actually tried to translate a tab name?

The instructions you give are for theme strings. That is not how you translate user defined strings such as the tab name.

What is there to understand? Have you tried to translate a tab? Should be simple to replicate.
The default asking for admin info for stuff that should be part of your QA anyways is tiring.

Just try to translate a custom tab (created with the new tab feature) with WPML, and tell me where you translate the tab title. (Nowhere, because it is not implemented).

First of all, I tested on my local and custom tab is being translated without issue.

So, in order to help you efficiency, I need to login into dashboard and find the cause of issue. It’s hard to debug via text or screenshots.

This screen recording is not showing the custom tabs. This is showing the tab settings in the product editor.

I am talking about the custom tabs post type that has been recently added : https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/custom-tabs/

How do you translate that tab title? It seems impossible.

1. Create a custom tab in Products -> Custom tabs
2/3. translate tab with WPML
4. tab appears in original language
5. tab does not appear in translated language. (see next post for screenshot)

To me it feels like the quality of support is declining rapidly. Which is disappointing as I actually keep paying to extend the support. I asked as simple question. Where you able to translate the titles of custom tabs yourself? Probably not?

Last time you asked for admin support, but you did not read the problem descriptions properly. Admin support won’t help if you do not accurately read problem descriptions. You would simply look at all the wrong things while you are a website with admin access.

First of all, I read your problems but as I explained it’s hard to find root caused of issues via screenshots only that’s why I asked for admin credentials. If it is actually an issue, then I can pass the topic to our developer then they can check further.
