Improving speed on the DOM

Client of ours is trying to find out how to speed up his site using your theme, the issue being the DOM as everything else is pretty much optimized – https://imgur.com/a/KGfAu6S (image of DOM load) it makes a huge amount of Dom elements – is there a way to address the huge number of DOM requests and if you look at the screenshot, understeps 216-218, it waits for a while.

The client is looking mainly at TTFB & Improved Speeds, we have done everything else, from WP Rocket, Caching, image optimization and such.

The only outstanding thing seems to be the lower score in the vast number of DOM elements which he needs resolved.

What i don’t quite understand is I’ve used Salient & Bridge which also make use of the WP Bakery but does not show the DOM warnings like WoodMart, yet those sites were larger in terms of images / elements etc

Can you advise how to resolve this or provide adjustments or even excluding things that don’t need to be run.

As we already mentioned, the number of DOM elements corresponds to the number of elements used on the page in general. Possible problems: huge mega menu, a large number of products or other WPBakery page builder elements.

It’s has no mega menu and rather a small amount of stuff in the home page irrespective.
