Issues with images on variable products

Hi,

We’ve noticed that in the variable product when there is 1 image in the particular color (in our case – the white one), the theme uploads images from other color variants. We’ve deactivated plugins as recomended in this ticket: https://xtemos.com/forums/topic/product-variation-image-gallery/ yet it didn’t help. Could you take a look a this, please? Thank you!

Sorry to say but your WoodMart Theme and WoodMart Core plugin isn’t updated to the latest version. The latest version of the Theme running is 7.1.4 and the Core version running is 1.0.36.

Can you please once try to update your WoodMart theme and Core plugin to the latest version by following the given Theme’s Documentation link: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/update-the-theme/ and then check back the issue again on your Site.

If the issue still persists after that then please mention us so that we can proceed further with the checking of the issue.

So, we have checked this concern further on your Site.

Firstly, for the White variant on your Site you haven’t created all 4 variations of the size 34, 36, 38 and 40.
It is only created for 38 and 40.

Secondly, for the created variation of 38 & 40 ones for the White variant, you haven’t added the Additional Variation Images like you have done for the others: https://snipboard.io/dhFDCz.jpg

So, you need to create Variation for all size variants and along with that you also need to add Additional Variation Images then the things will work accordingly.

Could you confirm that we understand correctly that even if we don’t have the products, we need to setup variants with inventory 0?

Hello,

We are assuming that you are referring to the Out of Stock status for the Products. So, if any of the Variants of a Product on your Site doesn’t have any Stock available at your end, you can simply set it as Out of Stock. But if you are managing Inventory separately for all of the Variants of a Product then you need to enter 0 for the availability.

We’ve set up all the necessary information and images for each variant. Now, the images of the variants with other colors do not pull, however if there is only one image of the color, it is doubled. Please take a look at the screenshot. Is there a way to disable it? Producers of the clothes sometimes do not take a few photos of each color variant.

Like we mentioned you earlier, for the White Variant of the Product that you had shared with us you haven’t updated the Additional Variation Images which is why it is showing that Single Image repeatedly: https://snipboard.io/yNODUu.jpg

So, please kindly update the additional variation images for the White Variant on your Site for the mentioned Product and the Images will then appear accordingly.

In the image gallery of the variant, we can only upload the image that is presented as the main one. It is the only photo that the producer has provided. So the image gallery needs to consist of only one picture. How can we achieve it without pulling different colors or having the same image twice?

The thing is like we mentioned you earlier that for all other Variants you have uploaded multiple Additional Variation Images but for the White one you haven’t and you are mentioning that the producer has only provided one image for that, well if you are keen on using the Additional Variation images for all variants of a Product then it is needed to have additional variation images for the white one too but if it is not available then by default it shows that respective variant’s default image that you have uploaded and unfortunately there isn’t any option available right now to hide that specifically because the non-highlighted Image in the gallery is the default one and the other one which you are mentioning as repeating is showing the default variant image again because there isn’t any uploaded there for that.

This is the default working for this Additional Variation Images right now at the Theme level.
