Replace REV. Slider with Woodmart Slider & Theme Update on White Label

Hi,
I have 2 questions:

1. I’m using Base theme for my Production site & default Chair (base slider on RevSlider) seemingly heavy to page load, how can I replace Revolution Slider it Woodmart Slider without distracting Slider settings in base theme. Issues I encountered:
a. if I delete Rev Slider I can’t add Woodmart Slider on that position
b. if I added Woodmart Slider anyhow, alignment lost and Category menu overlapped

2. As learned from this Forum, if I go with White Label Theme updation will not be automatic hence what will be best guidance to update it while keeping Prod site uninterrupted?

1) You can remove the slider revolution and try creating the slider using the Woodmart slider and add to the page.
