    Hi There.

So we’re selling kids clothing and now WooCommerce finally added out of stock support for variation sizes (yay).

With this new update it broke our old method to filtering sizes.

What we did was as following. When uploading products we would have both size 80 and size 76/80 and size 80/86. So three different “sizes” in the attribute.

To help the user not think so much about that we added an extra attribute to each product called “Sizex” Here we gave each product 76, 80 then the other product 80, 86.

This resulting in a clean size filter showing this:
    56
    62
    68
    74
    80
    86
    92
    98
    104
    110
    116
    122
    One Size

Making it much clearer to user showing him/her all products with 76/80, 80 and 80/86.

HOWEVER if we use this now, it will then also show products not in stock (before it was not a problem since it was not supported in woocommerce anyway).

Now obviously we want to only show in stock and we cannot use this “workaround”.

So now the size filter is showing all the actual different sizes which is:

    56
    56/62
    62
    62/68
    68
    68/74
    74
    74/80
    80
    80/86
    86
    86/92
    92
    92/98
    98
    98/104
    104
    104/110
    110
    110/116
    116
    116/122
    ONESIZE

Is there any creative soul or someone who has had this issue. Ive googled so much that google put limits on my request (atleast it feels like it).

I don’t want to force customers to tick off 3 different sizes just to see all products in 116.

However I also don’t want to show them products not actual in stock so when they finally select a product it’s out of stock in that size, even tho they filtered it.

Can we get the best of both worlds?

    Heeeelp 🙂

    Hello,

The Products attributes and variations are WooCommerce functionality and our theme doesn’t influence. Sorry but we could not help you with this.

Because this is out of our theme support scope.

You can try asking WooCommerce support for further help.

    Regard’s.
    Xtemos Studio.
