Installation Process
There are two ways to upload any theme to the WordPress site: the Admin panel and FTP. The most recommended way is uploading via the Admin panel. However, sometimes there may be a size limitation for files uploaded. That is why this manual provides both ways:
Way 1. Upload Theme through WordPress Admin panel
Locate the woodmart.zip file and sign in to your WordPress Dashboard (e.g., ). Go to Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload, and select the file, then click “Install Now“. Once the theme is uploaded, you will need to activate it in Appearance > Themes.
- Sign in to your admin panel at yourdomain.com/wp-admin
- Navigate to Appearance > Themes > Add New -> Upload theme
- Choose woodmart.zip file
- Wait while the theme is uploading, install and activate it.
Make sure the ZIP file contains only folders and files of the theme and not the inner additional ZIP.
Way 2. Upload Theme with FTP
You need to upload the theme zip file to your-site.com/wp-content/themes folder and unzip it. You can use your web-hosting control panel (cPanel, ISPManager, etc.) or you can connect to your server through the FTP client like FileZilla and upload the already unzipped WoodMart folder:
- Connect to your hosting (server) via an FTP client
- Upload your theme folder to your-site.com/wp-content/themes folder
- Login to your WordPress Dashboard and go to Appearance > Themes and activate the theme.
- Open your site and check if everything is okay.
Step-by-step theme installation wizard
As soon as the WoodMart theme has been installed and activated correctly, a step-by-step wizard appears, suggesting six tabs: “Activation”, “Child theme”, “Page builder”, “Plugins”, “Prebuilt websites”, “Done”.
