Export and import headers

Header Builder can transfer a complete header layout between WoodMart websites as JSON data. The export contains the header name, structure, elements, and header settings.

Note
The exported JSON contains the Header Builder configuration only. It does not include referenced WordPress content such as HTML Blocks or menus. Make sure these items exist on the destination website and reassign them after import when necessary.

Export a header

  1. Navigate to Dashboard -> WoodMart -> Header builder and edit the required header.
  2. Click Export at the bottom of the editor.
  3. Copy the complete JSON data from the export field and save it in a text file.

Import a header

  1. Open Dashboard -> WoodMart -> Header builder on the destination website.
  2. Click Import header.
  3. Paste the exported JSON into the import field.
  4. Click Import.

The imported layout is created as a separate saved header. Review it, click Save header if you make changes, and then set or assign it where required. Importing a header does not make it the default automatically.
