Connect an Instagram account
Connect an Instagram professional account to display its latest media through the Instagram API in WoodMart. The API source displays media from the connected account only; it cannot display posts from other accounts or hashtag feeds.
Before you connect
Make sure that:
- Your Instagram account is a professional Business or Creator account.
- The Instagram account is connected to a Facebook Page.
- Your Facebook account has sufficient access to manage the connected Page.
WoodMart uses the Instagram API with Facebook Login, so you do not need to create your own Meta developer app. For details about professional accounts and Facebook Page requirements, see the Instagram Platform overview.
Connect the Instagram account
1. Navigate to Dashboard -> Theme Settings -> API integrations -> Instagram API.

2. Click Connect. You will be redirected to Facebook to authorize the XTemos integration.
3. Sign in with the Facebook account that manages the Page connected to your Instagram account, then approve the requested permissions.

4. Select the Facebook Page associated with the Instagram account you want to display.

5. After authorization, you will return to Theme Settings. Check that the connected Instagram profile appears on the Instagram API page.
Display the Instagram feed
Add the Instagram block or element where you want the feed to appear:
- Gutenberg: add the Instagram block.
- Elementor: add the Instagram widget.
- WPBakery: add the Instagram element.
- WordPress widgets: add the WOODMART Instagram widget to the required widget area.
Set Source type to API, then configure the number of photos, grid or slider design, columns, spacing, and other display options available in the selected editor.
Reconnect or disconnect the account
Return to Dashboard -> Theme Settings -> API integrations -> Instagram API to manage the connection. If the feed stops loading after account permissions or the linked Facebook Page changes, click Disconnect and connect the account again.
If you do not want to connect Instagram through the API, select Images as the source in the Instagram block or element and upload the images manually.
