The WoodMart Image Optimizer is a dedicated plugin designed exclusively for the WoodMart theme. It provides an efficient way to reduce image file sizes and generate modern formats without sacrificing quality. To install it, go to your WordPress Dashboard, navigate to Plugins → Add New, and upload the downloaded .zip file. Once installed, click Activate Plugin. After activation, you will find the optimization tools in Dashboard → Media (List view) and the configuration options in Theme Settings → Performance → Image Optimizer. You can install the WoodMart Image Optimizer plugin during the initial theme setup using the Setup Wizard or at any time later through WoodMart → Plugins in your WordPress dashboard. The plugin requires an active WoodMart theme license to work. Once installed and activated, it will appear in your Media Library and Theme Settings, ready to be configured.

How to optimize images

To start optimizing your images, navigate to Dashboard → Media in your WordPress admin panel and switch to the List view. Each image entry will display an “Optimize” button that allows you to compress the file and generate its WebP version. You can process images individually or continue optimizing newly uploaded files automatically as they are added to your library.

Optimization settings

The plugin settings can be found under Theme Settings → Performance → Image Optimizer. Here, you can adjust the optimization quality to control the balance between image size and visual clarity. Higher quality values will keep more detail but result in larger file sizes, while lower values reduce file sizes more aggressively. In addition, you can enable the option to generate WebP images alongside the optimized originals. WebP is a modern format that offers superior compression, allowing your website to load faster on supported browsers.

Pricing and quota

All WoodMart customers with an active theme license receive 500 MB of free image optimization quota. After reaching this limit, you can continue using the service by subscribing to the paid plan. The current pricing is $3.99 per month for 5 GB of optimized images, with a single plan available at this time.
